A collaboration to enhance the Reserve
The Rock Engravings Nature Reserve of Ceto, Cimbergo and Paspardo is enriched with a new digital tool thanks to its collaboration with Particle, a company specialized in developing innovative multimedia experiences.
The shared goal is to transform the visit into an interactive and engaging experience, capable of shedding new light on the millennia-old history of the rock engravings.
An accessible and immersive digital guide
The multimedia guide created by Particle combines audio narrations, images, videos, and visual reconstructions, offering a storytelling approach that intertwines narrating voices with evocative content.
It is a simple-to-use tool, accessible both via app and web with no need for downloads, designed to be enjoyed before, during, and after the visit.
Each visitor can choose the level of detail that best suits their needs, with differentiated content for adults and young audiences, available in Italian and English.
On-site experience: QR codes, AR, and games
Along the Reserve’s trails, on some of the panels dedicated to the engraved rocks, QR codes are installed that give access to different types of experiences:
“Explore” QR
By scanning these QR codes, visitors can access multimedia narratives that reveal the stories of the engravings.
- For adults: stories and curiosities, told in a clear and informative style.
- For young visitors: short animated videos in which Zaziani, a little Camunian narrator, guides them to discover the rocks in a fun and engaging way.
“Play” QR
By scanning these QR codes, visitors can access 3D reconstructions of some rock figures in augmented reality, allowing them to closely observe even the signs that are most difficult to see directly on the rocks.
By collecting a flyer at the ticket office, young visitors can take part in an interactive game. During the trail, they are invited to document their experience with the 3D figures. At the end of the visit, by showing at the ticket office the screenshots or videos of their interactions with some of the figures they encountered, they receive a collectible card depicting the engraving they found. This card also unlocks a secret augmented reality animation, which can be activated by scanning the image with the Particle app.
An experience that continues and can be shared
All digital content can be saved and shared, allowing visitors to relive the experience even after returning home and to spread knowledge of the Reserve with friends and family.
This way, the bond with the historical and natural heritage of the Reserve remains alive even from a distance.
